LSVI Residence is conceived as a compact architectural composition that negotiates privacy, openness, and orientation within its immediate context.
Located within a residential setting, the project responds to the constraints of adjacency and site boundaries while seeking to establish a clear internal hierarchy. The client’s brief called for a contemporary family home that balances openness with protection, allowing generous natural light without compromising privacy. The primary challenge was to organize the massing in a way that mediates between neighboring structures while maintaining a strong architectural identity.
The design is structured through a precise arrangement of intersecting volumes that define both enclosure and extension. Solid elements anchor the building to the site, while carefully positioned openings frame controlled views and regulate daylight penetration. Rather than maximizing transparency, the project prioritizes calibrated exposure, ensuring spatial comfort and visual focus. The spatial organization separates private and shared zones, allowing fluid circulation while preserving functional clarity.
Material selection reinforces the architectural concept. A restrained palette emphasizes durability and structural logic, with surfaces chosen for their tactile quality and long-term performance. Light interacts with depth and texture throughout the day, strengthening the perception of mass and proportion. The exterior expression remains controlled, allowing the building to age naturally within its environment.
Internally, the residence is organized as a sequence of connected yet distinct spaces. Shared areas extend outward toward terraces, reinforcing the relationship between interior and exterior. Circulation follows a rational path that supports everyday use while maintaining spatial continuity. The result is a residence defined by balance, precision, and contextual awareness.
LSVI Residence demonstrates an approach grounded in architectural discipline rather than formal excess. By responding directly to site conditions and user needs, the project establishes a durable and coherent living environment that integrates seamlessly into its surroundings.
